Diseases
How common conditions develop and what they mean for treatment.
Digital eBook
Understanding Diseases, Essential Medicines and Safe Medicine Use — a digital-first reference being developed for students, pharmacy professionals and readers who want reliable, plain-language information.

Know Your Medicines is written as a digital-only book. It is not a printed textbook converted to a file — it is being structured from the start for reading on a phone, a tablet or an e-reader, with short entries, clear headings and quick navigation.
Why this book? In teaching and in pharmacy practice, the same gap keeps appearing: the information exists, but not in a form people can actually use. This book tries to close that gap for diseases, essential medicines and safe use.

Author's note
I teach pharmacy, and I keep meeting the same moment: a student who has memorised a drug class but cannot say why it is used, or a patient who is taking a medicine without knowing what it is doing. Both problems come from the same place.
This book is my attempt at an answer — written the way I would explain it in a classroom, and kept digital so it can be updated as practice changes.
Writing and structuring are in progress. Chapters, sample pages and the final cover will appear on this page as they are completed.
